I’m excited to begin a new chapter with the launch of Mivado Automation.
After several years of working in complex industrial environments, starting my own company felt like a natural next step. My name is M. van Dort, and over the past 7 years I’ve worked as an engineer at ABB, focusing mainly on Distributed Control Systems (DCS). During that time, I contributed to a variety of projects across different industries.
I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects for organizations such as Cosun, ATPC, HHD, Rijkswaterstaat (RWS), Urenco, and TU Delft. These experiences gave me not only strong technical expertise, but also insight into how businesses operate in practice—and where inefficiencies often arise.
What I consistently noticed is that even in highly advanced environments, there is always room for improvement. Processes can be smarter, systems can be better integrated, and operations can be more efficient.
Why I Started Mivado Automation
With Mivado Automation, I want to apply my experience in a more direct and flexible way. Instead of operating within large organizations, I’m now able to work closely with clients and focus on solutions that deliver real, measurable impact.
My goal is simple:
